SANDY — The Utah Chiefs of Police Association (UCOPA) will host a Law Enforcement Career Day on April 30 as part of its statewide recruitment and retention campaign, Find Yourself in Utah.

WHAT:
The Find Yourself in Utah Law Enforcement Career Day will feature over 50 law enforcement agencies highlighting unique programs and services within sworn and civilian career opportunities.
Over 500 high school students, college students, career seekers, individuals looking for a change of pace, lateral transfers, and more will be in attendance.
The career day event is an opportunity to hear from agencies across the state about the importance of maintaining and recruiting qualified individuals and helping the next generation of individuals find their purpose and career in Utah. The event will feature:
- SWAT Team demonstrations
- K9 search and rescue
- Drone operation
- Crime scene analysis/CSI
- Bomb Squad/Bomb Robot
- Hands-on displays including patrol cars, all-terrain vehicles, and police e-bikes
- Police motorcycle demonstrations
- Utah Highway Patrol helicopter on-site
- Face-to-face networking with recruiters, chiefs, and supervisors from dozens of agencies statewide
