CAREER DAY REMINDERS:

WHEN: April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: POST headquarters, 410 W 9800 South, Sandy, UT 84070

PARKING: A designated lot will be assigned for visitors to park in. There will be both signage and traffic control to guide you to the right location. 

Buses will be able to drop off passengers on the north side of the Salt Lake Community College campus. Buses will have parking along the access roads and 300 W. during the event.  

Please read the following logistical information regarding setup, location and more:

• Setup Time: Vendors are asked to arrive as early. Setup begins at 7 a.m.  Vendors can park in the section of this map labeled M5.
• Bring your own setup: Vendors are responsible for bringing their own set up. A map of the campus is attached below, which outlines the general setup for vendors.
  • Participants with demonstrations or special equipment (drones, motorcycles, vehicles, etc.) will be given specific staging areas.
  • All other vendors will receive a 10×10 area to set up however they see fit. Vendors will not be assigned to a specific area, and can set up wherever within the designated area on a first-come first-serve basis. If you will require power, please contact utah@jgpr.net
    • PLEASE BRING ANY POWER SUPPLIES YOU MAY NEED. This could include power strips, extension cords, etc. POST will be able to provide limited supplies on a first-come first-serve basis, so if you have power supplies of your own, it is recommended that you bring them. 
  • Recommended items for setup include:
    • Tables and chairs 
    • Tents/ overhead coverage
    • Displays 
    • Signage 
    • Giveaways
  • We also encourage you to have your recruiters, detectives, and patrol officers staffing your area at all times to promote your Department or organization, connect with participants, and answer any questions they may have.
• Scheduled demonstrations: If you are attending to perform a demonstration (K-9, drones), please note that a rotating schedule will be created so that a demonstrations can constantly be happening without overwhelming any resources.

• Giveaways: Each attendee will be provided with a Find Yourself in Utah branded drawstring bag to store the giveaways, brochures, and other gear that they acquire over the course of the event. We encourage you to bring your own giveaways—stickers, stress balls, notebooks, pens, etc.— so that participants can take a small piece of your organization home! 
• Check the forecast: As of right now, there is about a 50% chance of rain on Career Day. Please make sure you are properly equipped with tents, protective gear, or whatever else you may need to accommodate for the potential weather.

Join us on April 30, 2025 for the first Find Yourself in Utah Law Enforcement Career Day. This event will feature facetime with leaders across all aspects of policing and law enforcement from statewide agencies to small rural agencies. There will be a hands-on display from local departments, including K9s, Drones, Motorcycles, Helicopters, and more! In addition, there will be representatives from the Attorney General’s office, Utah Women in Law Enforcement, ULEAP (Law Enforcement Administrative Professionals), Mental Health Clinicians, along with many other critical non-sworn opportunities that support our public safety professionals.
